Liberty Head nickels were in wide circulation all the way until the 1940s. Light striking may be an issue with many of these coins. Details to check include the star centers near the top border, the hair above the forehead on the obverse and the wreath bow and the ear of corn to the left on the reverse. E PLURIBUS UNUM also varies in sharpness and strike.
